There’s something wrong with that cat.

i really don’t intend for Chester to be the star of this blog. i don’t like “cat people” and have been a “dog person” for years and years. He’s just so damned amusing and bizarre sometimes, though. Like last night. i didn’t see him bebopping around like usual. i thought maybe he’d gotten out of the room or something, then noticed that my weekend bag was tipped over… and there he was, inside, after managing to close it and make a nice dark little hiding spot for himself. When bedtime came around, back into the bag he went.

More catching up..

So.. i went to Gainesville this weekend and had a blast.

The Garrett/Tofu/Cooterbear. :D

This picture represents a small victory for me. The butterfly is a “Blue Morpho”, specifically the Morpho menelaus. i’ve been to several butterfly garden places over the years, and not once have i managed to snap a shot of one of these while its wings are open.. until now. THE DAY IS MINE.

Butterfly feeding frenzy. Rotting bananas, yum.

i plan on eventually doing something similar in my own room with little printed butterflies and fishing line. Or maybe i’ll wait till i move, since it looks like a bitch and a half to put up.

Five days, no pictures.

So much for the “daily” aspect, eh? i’ll get better. i was out of town again. i have pics to upload from that, at least a couple.

Sooooo much to do today. Laundry, bits of random cleaning, some work, perhaps some re-organizing and cleaning of my desk. i’d like to move some furniture stuff, but i don’t know if that’ll get done today.

Definitely pictures, though.

Delicious, delicious caffeine..

Ah, i love my coffee mug, and wish i’d bought a couple more for a set. (Perhaps i still can.) Love ‘em or hate ‘em, most people should/would admit that Starbucks is at least pretty clever when it comes to marketing, design, and packaging.

Personally, i’m a fan of any caffeine depot.

Edit: Yup, bought more. Now i have a set of 4. Wooha.

Breaking in…

My newest pair of boots, which i’ve had for about two weeks now. They’re getting a lot of wear, and are becoming nicely broken in and very comfortable. (They’re not “real boots” - they have a zipper, which makes them easier to put on than even sneakers. So, yeah. They’re becoming a staple.)

Keyring

Posted in life, camera on January 22nd, 2007 by ghost

My keys.. Three house keys, plus car key, plus random other keys whose purpose i forget. But, i feel like there’s a chance i may need them at some point so i leave them on. Also present… a tiny flashlight, a leather strap that used to be attached to a teeny stuffed Corgi, a Pikachu, a Lego Darth Maul, a wrench we found at a Taco Bell many years ago (which has come in handy!), and two tiny metal lightsabers.

And of course, many many membership mini-cards. They were so convenient at first, but when every store started using them, they added up, and became a bit less convenient.

Fun with cats…

From before i went “on break”..

Chester was laying on the bed (what else is new) while i was turning down blankets in preparation for sleepytime. He didn’t seem to care that i laid the top of the blanket over him. Was cute… Then, turned into…

… which, judging by his expression, he minded a tad more. Still too lazy to move, though.

Slacker!

i went out of town for a few days on a much-needed break. Didn’t take pictures really, either, heh. Whoops.

Gimme a few minutes.

And i don’t think custom fields work with these theme. That’s poopy. It’s also incentive to do my own or mangle/customize another one. Rawrawrawr.

Roost.

Books on the bed.

My books came in, wee. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, and Yusuke Kishi’s The Crimson Labyrinth, supposedly “Battle Royale meets reality TV”. Sounds like fun. We shall see, after World War Z.

And, my bed is made. Hooray.

Monkeys? i sense a theme.
